These are desinged to use the ACM MP40 mags, not TOP ones. The TOP is a completely different animal. The Kings Arms mid-caps should also work.

It's not just those hi caps, it's ANY wind-up hi cap.
Hi cap mags are made to be used upright. The horizontal orientation on the sten means you'll be very lucky if it'd work properly.

Mine arrived today and while superficially seems fine...

It came with a stock completely sealed so there is no way i can fit the supplied stock battery in it.

Im hoping this is a one off packing error and the right stock can be sourced for me.

Other wise im looking at having to spend a lot more on new batteries (i already have dozens of stick types!) just to be able to use it.

Funny you should say that Gadge, someone commented on my Sten video on YouTube saying that he'd bought a version one but didn't want to use a LiPo but in the next breath said that his gun had an adjustable HOP. I can only assume that he'd been shipped a version 2 gun but with a version 1 stock and battery/charger combo. Sounds like some dodgy QA going on at AGM.

Oh mine came with a stick battery and stick battery charger too.

The only thing that is wrong is the solid stock.

I now have both types of stock. If you can measure the outer diameter of the tube I can tell you if it would be large enough for the battery were you to open up the blanking plate.

Now then spare batteries. Speaking as someone who dosen't know his Gluteus Maximus from his Olecranon, what sort of stick battery do I need to get? I've heard model shops are the cheapest place to buy. Any advice?

Have a word with Uncle Tom next time you're over Fremsley, he usually carries an assortment of stick batteries, and good prices too ;)
